Dementia is an umbrella term for many variants of this disease (including Alzheimer’s), and I didn’t know what it was until it became a part of my family’s story. We have been through so much in recent years, and in a time where my mom knows nothing else, I hope to bring some hope, joy, and camaraderie to our little world.
By participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s, I’m raising awareness and funds to advance the fight against this disease. My dad (Jack) and I are reliant upon the support of our family and friends. We truly wouldn’t make it without you and the resources we have found. Together, we can end Alzheimer’s disease.
