Again, this year Peaceful Pines Senior Living Community is a proud sponsor of the Black Hills Walk to End Alzheimer’s on September 9th at Founders Park in Rapid City, SD. We have formed a team so we can all join the charge to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. 

The team captain is Krista Dittus who is the Administrator at Peaceful Pines Senior Living. Krista is participating to honor all the residents and families of Peaceful Pines contending with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. 

Thousands of families in Western South Dakota (18,000+ statewide) are facing the challenges of a loved one with dementia. This impacts not only the person with the disease, but their caregivers often suffer significant health declines. Alzheimer’s can have a ripple effect on connected family members impacting workforce retention and productivity. 

Many don’t realize the services and resources available through the SD Alzheimer’s Association. Help us shed light on the needs and opportunities for all those facing Alzheimer’s and dementia in our area. Please make a financial contribution and/or join our team today!
