I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 14 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
I'm walking for my Grandpa, Art, who I was lucky enough to have as a major influence in my life for 18 years. Alzheimer's took him WAY before I was ready and if I can contribute, in a small way, to giving other families back more time with their loved ones, that's what I'm going to do!
My family also just lost Pops on January 31st, 2023 after a lengthy battle against this disease. We celebrate his legacy with the knowledge that there WILL be a cure in the near future!
