There is little known about Alzheimer's disease, yet there are an estimated 6.9 million people in America who have been diagnosed with it, most being citizens ages 65 and up. I personally have two family members who are enduring the life altering disease and it has been heart breaking not only acknowledging them lose some of their memory, but watching my family as they care for them. There are more than 11 million Americans who dedicate time and money to care for either a family member or friend with dementia, without cost. Although there is so much research being done, it is disheartening watching people helplessly fighting for their memory and losing hope when they notice themselves degenerating.
Alzheimer’s isn’t stopping and neither are we. By participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s, I’m raising awareness and funds to advance the fight against this disease — funds that allow the Alzheimer’s Association to provide 24/7 care and support while accelerating critical research.
Families facing Alzheimer’s and all other dementia need us — and with your help, we can be there for them. Please make a donation or register as a participant and start your own fundraising efforts. Together, we can end Alzheimer’s disease.
Thank you for your support!
