Both of my amazing Nonnie's passed away from Alzheimer's disease. One passed away my Freshmen year of college, the other, my senior year of college. They were instrumental parts of my life and it was devastating thinking they would not be around to watch me continue to grow up, get married and accomplish other goals. They were amazing women who were always putting others first. In the time they were with us we were able to make some lifelong memories such as.. spending every day in the summer together when we were young and our parents were at work, they cooked the best italian food around and we would eat until we were absolutely stuffed, we made play doh from scratch and did so many more fun things together. They are idols of mine and I hope to grow into a woman like them someday. I am supporting the fight against Alzheimer's in memory of my Nonnie's, in hopes that we can someday find a cure for this disease.
I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
Thank you for joining the fight against Alzheimer's!
