Support our team for the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®, the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. As we reflect on the loss of our mother Rita to Alzheimer’s a little over  a year ago, we simultaneously recollect the joy she brought to us all.  Mom was an incredibly selfless women and friend to all. Mother to 9 and their spouses. Grandmother to 28 and great grandmother to 27. Her home was where many cousins gathered and became best friends. Of all accomplishments, it was evident that her family was her crowning glory.  Sadly, the period between an Alzheimer’s diagnosis till the end of life is referred to as “The Long Goodbye “. It was devastating as we, immediate family and friends became strangers! Our best advice would be to show love, and practice patience with or for the person who is slowly slipping away from you. Learn to be in the moment with your loved ones and cherish the time you have.   In honor of our Mom, we have organized a team to participate in the “Walk to End Alzheimer’s “!  This years walk  is in Erie on September 21st. ! Our team’s  name is Rita B and we are hopeful for many shares and many participants, and especially donors! Our family thanks you for your support and love! Let’s End Alzheimer’s!!!!!
