Please join us in this fight. This is such a painful disease for all effected. We need your help to stop this devastating disease. When MIL was going through this, she could no longer enjoy her favorite pastimes. She was a very loving, funny woman. MIL was always on time and remembered everything for the family. She stayed at home to raise her children and to assist her husband with Kandy Korner, their store until it was sold. Martin, her husband went on to receive his Adjunct Professor's degree. MIL was very proud of him and her three children. Scrabble was her passion, she played everyday; in tournaments, on the beach, and weekly at her friends. She read the Press every morning, completing the crossword and the jumbles. She loved words. Once the grandchildren started coming, she shared the joy of words with them. Her slow deterioration was incredibly hard to see. We moved MIL into assisted living and she was enjoying an occasional scrabble game, but this did not last. We moved her closer to us in PA to see her more. But it got to a point that as soon as we walked out the door from visiting, the staff had to call us right back. MIL was so upset and couldn't remember that we just left. Finally we moved her in with us to bring her more comfort by seeing us all day everyday. When we lost her in 2017, our world went dark for a while. We relocated to NJ, my husbands birthplace. This is where MIL was the happiest and Chip and I had wonderful memories to help our healing.
PLEASE PLEASE, help us stop this disease. You can make an impact with a donation, or even joining our team. If you do not know how to help, consider helping us raise funds to STOP this disease by researching cures and treatments. Your kindness and generosity truly make a difference in the fight against Alzheimer’s and all other dementia.
I really appreciate anything you can do. Thank you for your support!
