I'm walking to help reclaim the future for millions. By participating in the 2023 Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's(tm) I'm committed to raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer research care and support.
Currently more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Every 65 Seconds someone is diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
This year will be my 13th year participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer's and I am proud to say that my team has raised over $28,000 for the Alzheimer's Association over the past 12 years. My mom, Rose Hammond was stricken with this cruel disease in 2004 and battled it for 6+ years before passing away in February 2011. My mom enjoyed many things but one of the things she looked forward to most was summer so she could go to the shore and go crabbing. This is why I formed the team "Rosie's Crabs". I am making it a point to do this every year in hopes that one day a cure is found!
I need your support to do my part! Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into prevention treatments and a cure for Alzheimer's. For the millions already affected by the disease the Association offers care education support and resources in communities nationwide.
Thank you for joining our movement! The end of Alzheimer's disease starts here.
