Walk in support of my Mom, Bobbe Schmeltzer, who continues her fight against Alzheimer's. In past years our family and friends have walked, and we hope you will join us in November at Citizen’s Bank Park. Last year we raised over $26,000 and were #1 in the Philadelphia Walk (for the first time), so this year we are shooting for $27,500.
I have continued my Advocacy for the association,and more progress has been made this past year. In July there was anew blood test announced that will detect Alzheimer’s more accurately andmuch earlier than ever before. And recently two key bills were passed atthe US House - NAPAReauthorization Act and the Alzheimer’s Accountability and Investment Act which were two Association priorities which willincrease funding and awareness for treating Alzheimer’s.
