As many of you know, John was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in January, 2021 sending us on an unexpected journey in our golden years. The struggles are real for John as he navigates living with increasingly compromised capabilities, and challenging for me as I learn how to be his caretaker in all things. We are eternally grateful for the love and support of our family and friends near and far who we feel in our hearts every day. We are also grateful for the guidance and resources offered by the Alzheimer’s Association which from that first phone call nearly four years ago continues to provide meaningful help at each stage of this journey. By participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s in John’s name, we hope to advance the critical research in the fight against this disease and allow the Alzheimer’s Association to continue to provide 24/7 care and support to those living with AD and those caring for them.
