Hello, my name is Jackie and I created this team in honor of my grandma, Ruth Solar. When I was very young my grandma was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and while I was too little to understand the full extent of the disease, I did understand the toll it took on my mom and her 5 older siblings.  I participate in Walk not only because of my only family but because of how frequently I hear other families are faced with Alzheimer's. Please join me in the effort to raise funds and awareness for the research to find a cure and the support to families given by the Alzheimer's Association. 

Walk is the largest event to raise funds and awareness for the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association®. It’s held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, and our team is excited to participate this year. 

Currently, more than 6 million Americans are living with Alzheimer's and over 11 million family and friends provide their unpaid care. We need your help to end this devastating disease.
