Welcome to our team page for the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®! Walk is the largest event to raise funds and awareness for the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association®. It’s held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, and our team is excited to participate this year. 

This year, we are walking for my mentor, BB. B was diagnosed 4 years ago, and now no longer has the ability to utilize the phone on her own, speak in full and coherent sentences, or fix food for herself or her husband who is also suffering from dementia. B was, and is, one of the smartest women I have ever known and I am honored to have an opportunity to do something for her when she has done so much for me. 

Currently, more than 6 million Americans are living with Alzheimer's and over 11 million family and friends provide their unpaid care. 2/3rds of those diagnosed are women, 2/3rds of caregivers are women and 1/3rd of caregivers are daughters.
