Alzheimer's refuses to relent, and neither do we. Through my involvement in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s, I am raising both funds and awareness to drive forward in the battle against this disease. These funds are a lifeline for the Alzheimer’s Association, enabling them to provide continuous care, support, and expedited research.
On June 1, 2022, my beloved Daddy lost his fight to Alzheimer's. While we were fortunate that the disease didn't lead to violence or erase his memory of me, it did steal his recollections of other loved ones and life experiences. Sadly, many families face a far harsher reality, marked by aggression, complete memory loss, and a range of physical challenges alongside the memory decline.
Just three days before my Daddy's passing, he whispered his final words, "there's my girl." While I understand that death is a natural part of life, especially after a long and full journey, I hold the conviction that no one should bid farewell without that profound connection intact.
Could I kindly ask for your consideration in making a contribution towards Alzheimer's research or perhaps joining my team? Together, our actions can bring about change and ultimately put an end to the anguish caused by Alzheimer’s. Your support carries immense weight.
With gratitude and an everlasting smile,
Lynda
