Like so many people, I lost my dear Grandfather to Alzheimer's in 1995. 

Joseph "Lone Eagle" Vasquez was an amazing and brilliant man who, once being a train-hopping hobo, went on the pilot the Spruce Goose, and other planes he helped build with the formidable Howard Hughes. Later in life, he was awarded several Presidential Medals for his work in the Bureau of Indian Affairs in Washington DC. He also was a pilot during WWII, during which time my father Robert was born. My father and Papa Joe collaborated and wrote a book about Joe's life entitled, "My Tribe."

The hardest thing about Alzheimer's is that it took a once-brilliant mind and decimated it. That is why I am joining the fight against this disease. I also have many clients who deal with this either personally or in their family. We encourage all of you to work together to help find and cure.
