Dear family and friends -
Currently over 55 million people worldwide are living with Alzheimer's or another dementia, including more than 6 million Americans. The disease also affects more than 11 million Americans who provide unpaid care for people living with Alzheimer's or another dementia.
I started participating in the walk when Mom first moved to memory care at Kingston. After ten years I decided to take a break, but last fall I decided to volunteer with our local Alzheimer's Association. I'm assisting with data entry and representing the association at health fairs and I'm back as a team captain for the walk. While great strides are being made through research there are still too many families hearing a painful diagnosis for their loved one. Alzheimer's is a disease that slowly steals your loved one before they leave this earth. We need to find a cure!
My goal this year is to raise $2,000. Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into prevention, treatments and a cure. For the millions already affected by the disease, the Association offers care, education, support and resources in communities nationwide. If you need any information I'm happy to assist.
Thank you for joining our movement! The end of Alzheimer's disease starts here.
With love and appreciation -
Margie
