My name is Tina Bucher and I am walking to honor my stepmom that passed away almost 2 years ago. She had a rough road with this illness and we kept her home as long as we could which I’m so grateful for. I tried to make the best of the time we had together before she left us. We miss her so dearly but I’m glad she’s not suffering anymore.

I’m also walking for my Aunt Pat who has been suffering with this terrible disease for a few years now. In the last year she started to decline more and had to be put in a Memory Care facility and require more supervision. In her early years She was in the Air Force. She Is a retired schoolteacher and also had her PHD degree.  Her main focus was helping troubled children with their learning. She was a wonderful teacher and a great friend to many. She loved to travel and go on new adventures and enjoy the outdoors. She was always a very independent strong willed woman and it’s so unfortunate now that she has to give up a lot of her independence.
