Our (Diane, Vicki and Ed) mother, Toni Canizaro, was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2015 and passed in December of 2022. During those 7 years we watched her decline. Even while struggling, she still had her spunky personality and knew who we were. Watching her become more confused and eventually losing the ability to walk was devastating.
