Here are some facts: 

1. More than 6 million Americans are living with Alzheimers and that figure is projected to increase to nearly 13 million by 2050. Think about that. Some of those 13 million could be our grandchildren. I don't want my grandkids to have to be fighting this terrible disease the way we have to. 

2. 1 in 3 seniors die of Alzheimer's or another dementia. It kills more than breast cancer and prostate cancer combined.

3. About 2/3 of Americans with Alzheimer's are women.

4. More than 11 million Americans provide unpaid care for people with Alzheimer's.

5. This year it is estimated that Alzheimer's and other dementias will cost the nation $321 billion and that figure could rise to nearly $1 trillion by 2050.

6. Alzheimer's is the 6th leading cause of death in the US and the only one without any treatment or cure.
