Our team, Bessie's Bombshells, was established to honor Bessie Cassaro, mother of Theresa Lesh, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in 2012. With her bright red lipstick, beaded necklaces, and love for life, she became our mascot - fighting on her behalf as she fought for so many others in her lifetime.

We continue to walk as Bessie's Bombshells / Charlie's Angels, even after the loss of both Bessie (April 2024) and Charlie (August 2022). 

Alzheimer’s disease is relentless. We have to join together to fight back.
