Why I walk

A few years ago, my stepmom, Pat, began showing signs of dementia. Over the 20 years that she's been a part of the family, she's always been energetic and full of life. Always on the go - whether it was to teach a spin class or to decorate the house for the upcoming holiday season. Unfortunately, as the disease progresses each day, Pat is able to do less and less, and the disease takes away more and more of her.

This is why I am leading a team for the Columbus Walk to End Alzheimer’s on Sunday, October 13th this fall! I feel fortunate to have the support of Cardinal Health & our Disability Advocate's Network (DAN) in this mission - but those facing Alzheimer’s and all dementia need your support too.
