Why do I want to raise funds for The Alzheimer's Association? I do it for the caregivers. Because caring for someone with Alzheimer’s disease or another type of dementia can be a long, stressful, and intensely emotional journey.
I want them to know they are not alone. In the United States, there are more than 16 million people caring for someone with dementia, and many millions more around the world.
The sooner we can find a cure.. the sooner that family members can resume their roles as husbands, wives, children, grandchildren or siblings. Until that day I will continue to fight for those who are too exhausted to fight.
