Mom was diagnosed with dementia right around the time the pandemic started, and the Alzheimer's Association has been super helpful as we navigate this strange, new territory. We started walking in the Alzheimer's walk in 2022, and Jeanne's Weenies was officially created for the 2023 walk in Buffalo, NY.  Anybody who wants to join can feel free, and don't feel obligated to fundraise if you don't want to (but it would be extremely appreciated if you did!) It's really just for mom's entertainment. ❤

I feel like I should explain the team name, because people who come to donate to the team may think to themselves, what the heck is wrong with these people? LOL When Mom was working, her nickname for many years was Jeanne the Weenie. It was used with affection by her coworkers, and she had a stuffed Oscar Mayer wiener in the back window of her car for over 20 years. So naturally, when I told her I was going to make a team for her, that seemed like a great name, and she thought it was perfect.
