JOIN ME IN THE FIGHT AGAINST ALZHEIMERS

Once again in 2024, I will be offering one dozen CHOCOLATE CHIP or OATMEAL RAISIN frozen cookie dough balls to each person who donates $50 or more more to my Walk to End Alzheimer's Fundraising Efforts. There is no limit to how many dozen you can receive. To expedite the process, cookies must be picked up at my home in South Cheektowaga.  

ABOUT THE MISTER

My father, Francis Vallon, was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in September 2013. The cruel irony of this diagnosis is that my father remembered everything. And I mean EVERYTHING. (Yes, what hotel we stayed at in Virginia in 1987, and a mistake someone made in 1993 were all locked in his head!) Yet he sat in the neurologist's office and was asked to draw a clock on a piece of paper with numbers, clock hands, and a specific time. He couldn't do it. He couldn't name the president, and wasn't sure of the month. 

There's suspicion that someone has a cognitive disorder, then there is the exact moment you realize it's true. When time seems to stand still that the person you knew was no more. Your father...the man who knew it all. The man who worked so hard to give you and your family an amazing life would soon not remember your names. 

How can I not participate in this walk each year? 

I remember all that he did. 

I remember what he sacrificed for us. 

I REMEMBER...

And I want to make sure we can ALL remember. I will keep walking and keep raising funds (and making cookie dough balls) as long as I can - until we find a cure for this horrible disease. I know money is tight, and I truly appreciate any contribution you make.
