The Morris family knows the sadness and challenges that come with Alzheimer's. Our dad, Bill Morris, was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in the summer of 1991. Over the next 12 years, as the disease progressed, we watched him become a different person. He still had his optimistic outlook, but he did not recognize us and he became much less social.
For the first few years of the Alzheimer walk in Canandaigua, Dad actually joined us. As the years went on, his disease progressed and he was no longer able to walk with us. After his death in 2003, because of our involvement in this worthy cause, the folks at the Alzheimer's Association-Rochester Chapter asked, "Will your family still participate in the walk to end Alzheimer's?" Our response was an unequivocal......"ABSOLUTELY!!" Our Bill's Buddies Team has participated in the walk in Canandaigua every year since the walk has been held there. We have continued to grow our team, "Bill's Buddies" and have been fortunate to have such enormous support from family and friends. We ask that again this year.
We would love to have you join our Bill's Buddies team and/or make a donation to our team. You can do that on-line.
On behalf of Dad....thank you....thank you....thank you!
Sincerely,
The Morris Family
