My family is walking in honor of our father and grandfather, Chuck Mann, who lost his battlle with Alzheimer's disease. He was always a social and intelligent person with a love for knowledge. Alzheimer's disease caused him to change into a quiet person who was often confused and scared by his surroundings. Not only have we witnessed his struggle but he is the child of two parents who struggled with memory issues.
Having multiple generations challenged by Alzheimer's gives my family a greater reason to raise money for a cure. This is a fight for all of us because we never know who will be touched by this disease.
