I walk for my Grandma and all others before and after her with this disease, I walk for all those care taking for Alzheimer’s patients, I walk for all those who can’t, and I walk for all who are involved or will be involved in the future with this disease. My Grandma is an amazing person. She took care of my family and was always there for us. She gave us everything we needed and always made sure we were okay. My Grandma always did what was right she always took care of the people she loved and others in need. She loves ice cream and she would always call my Dad and say “Can I come get Trin? I wanna take her for ice cream.” She was always there no matter what. And now it is our turn to be there for her, to take of her like she took care of us. I walk for my Grandma.
This walk means a way to end this disease, a way to find a cure, a way to give people their lives back. This walk is how we WILL find a cure and how we WILL end Alzheimer’s. We WILL defeat this disease.
I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
Thank you for joining the fight against Alzheimer's!
