Team Grammy's purpose. 

The reason why I walk is to walk in the footsteps of my grandmother. She is my purpose, she is my light. 

This walk is dedicated to Grammy. 

My grandmother suffered for many years and succumbed to the disease in 2013. My mother and I, along with in home nurses took care of her. It was extremely hard to see her deteriorate and not remember our family anymore.

I am here today to tell everyone, that you are not alone in this fight against Alzheimer’s. I know it’s hard to deal with our loved ones suffering from this disease, but we should feel fortunate for all the wonderful memories that we have shared with them as well.

This is my eleventh consecutive walk and every year I strive to reach and exceed my goal. I will always continue to raise funds and awareness for Alzheimer’s disease. It took my best friend, My Grammy, away from me. I don’t wish that upon anybody. There is not a single day that passes, that I don’t think about her. I love you Grammy and hope that you are proud.
