This is will be my 9th year participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer's. And while there is now hope with new treatments, there is still no cure. I got involved to honor my mom's memory, but now I also walk for her cousin, Todd, the people in my community, and the nearly 7 million Americans affected by this devastating disease.
The years I spent caring and advocating for my mom inspired me to become a volunteer with the Alzheimer's Association. I’m motivated by the caregivers I meet in my monthly caregiver support group and the education programs I facilitate. On their behalf, I work with lawmakers at the state and Federal levels to advocate for those living with Alzheimer’s and dementia. I also serve on the Long Island Chapter Board of Directors.
Please help us save the memories of those we love. For those of you who have supported my fundraising efforts in the past – thank you! I would be so grateful if you would consider supporting me again.
