For anyone who is new here, I made this page in honor of my father, Kevin Stuber, who is currently living with Alzheimer’s Disease. This is our second year Walking for an END to Alzheimer's Disease. We ended our first year as #1 Top Friends and Family Team, as well as #1 Top New Team. I cannot thank you all enough for the outpour of Love & Support. We can only hope for another successful year in raising awareness and support for the Alzheimer's Association. This association helps families like mine everyday who are dealing with a loved one who is suffering with the disease. They also help fund research in hope for a future WITHOUT Alzheimer's Disease. This is very important to me as this Disease is generational for my family. I have now lived through watching my grandmother suffer with it, and now her son (my father) as well. I pray my children get to see a future without this disease and we stop it here! - Team Captain Emily Wamsley

Kevin grew up in Stony Point, NY and was a graduate from North Rockland High School. He has been living in Circleville, NY for the past 23 years, and that’s where he and his wife Donna Stuber raised their family. He has three children, Ashley Edwards, Emily Wamsley and Joseph Stuber. As well as four grandchildren Luke, Albert IV and Abigail and Brooke. My dad is a very proud veteran of the United States Navy. He enjoys talking about his years serving greatly.  He then went on to work for 30 years in Pearl River, NY at Ledelies, Wyeth and Pfizer as maintenance and security. He was known as “the Key Man” as he was a very talented locksmith. Unfortunately, he began showing symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease in his mid 50’s and was officially diagnosed with it at the age of 60. Kevin is now 65 years old and at the moderate stages of the disease. After being such a hard worker his entire life, he was robbed of the enjoyment of his retirement years and watching his grandchildren grow up, by this awful disease. Prior to this disease my dad enjoyed anything outdoors, fishing and playing horseshoes. My dad also enjoyed his iced cold Coors Light, if you know Kevin you know he always kept his mountains blue. He worked hard every day for his family and was truly a great guy. Always willing to help in any way he could.

LET'S PUT AN END TO THIS DISEASE!!
