A year has gone by since my family found out that my Mom has AD. It has been a rough year for all of us as my very ill father passed away earlier in the year. And Mom had to shoulder the burden the most trying to help him. Though the condition has a path of its own, her mental stress has been overwhelming especially when losing the "love of your life" after 63 years of marriage. And the professionals who work with her and the siblings see the slippery slope that has manifested more from the impact of this cruel disease. So, this is why I am marching with the Rotary Club of Suffern in my second Walk to End Alzheimer's at Rockland County's Clover Stadium on October 15. If you can relate to this saga or just want to help, please consider the following fundraising opportunities. Thank you for your consideration.
