I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's(R). Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
In 2014 my husband, Mark, was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's. It has been one of the most difficult times in our lives as our family has rallied to assist Mark throughout the progression of this disease. Sadly we lost Mark in September 2021.
Our dream is to help find a way to assist those who have Alzheimer's and to support those loved ones who are caring for them.
