Alzheimer's Disease has had a devastating impact on the extended Karasch Family (Karasch-Madden-Zwick). Henry Karasch, our loving father and uncle, succumbed to Dementia with Lewy Bodies (DLB) in 2020, and Theresa Zwick, our dear mother and aunt, is fighting Dementia now in an assisted living home. Henry and Theresa have had an extraordinary impact on our lives with their unwavering love and devotion. Their sister Joan Madden will lead this team.

Research is the only way to stop this dreadful disease. For this reason, we have entered Team Karasch in the Walk to End Alzheimer's on Sunday, Oct. 20 to raise money for clinical research. The event will begin at 10 a.m. at Clover Stadium in Pomona, N.Y.

Our team goal is to raise $3,000 and field a team of 20 walkers. My employer, Veolia, has generously sponsored the Rockland and Westchester walks.

It's easy to feel helpless when an invisible enemy like Alzheimer's attacks your family, but Team Karasch will fight back. Please consider a donation to this important cause and/or come join us on Oct. 20 when we take a stand against this monster.
