We walk in honor of our Dad Jeff who died in part from complications related to dementia.
Our team photo is “That Damn Fish!”. Dad loved that small mouth bass so much he had it professionally preserved by a taxidermist and hung it in the kitchen with such pride for everyone to see. Since it lived in the kitchen our family lovingly referred to it as “that Damn fish”. We would ask ourselves the question with eyes rolled “who hangs a FISH on the wall in a KITCHEN?”. Well that was our dad! If you never met him, he would’ve given you the shirt off his back and always offer you a snack. He was a very welcoming person who enjoyed everyone’s company and that’s why we walk for him. For the daughters he left behind and the grandchildren he was never able to meet, it’s our way to honor him and raise awareness about Alzheimer’s disease.
Please consider supporting our team by making any sized donation to the Walk to end Alzheimer’s or simply join us to walk and show support for all those fighting and all those who are no longer with us.
Support our team for the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®, the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research..
