As you may know, my father died almost 5 years ago from Alzheimer’s disease. This is a pic of some of my family in Old Forge a few years before he died. If you are familiar with Alzheimer’s, you will recognize the “Alzheimer’s stare” — he is second from the left in front. You can’t tell by the pic, but my dad was so happy being surrounded by his kids and grandkids. I would give anything for one more family trip with my father. I'm sure this annual plea for donations is probably getting old -- but believe me, so is this horrendous disease. I promised myself that I would work toward a cure until it's no longer needed. If you can donate anything, however small, please know that it is greatly appreciated by the millions who are affected by Alzheimer’s and their loved ones.
