Terrell was diagnosed with Alzheimer's over 12 years ago. He was in Life Care Nursing Home for 8 yrs. On April 29, 2020, we lost my beloved Terrell. He contracted the Covid 19 virus and he also had Alzheimer's. It has been a long and painful journey for us caregivers. This year I am walking in memory of Terrell and his younger brother Stan who lost his battle with Parkinson's Disease and memory loss in April 2019 and their sister, Donna Furry who now has dementia. Stan's wife, Nancy and family and my family are now having to deal with the loss of husbands and fathers and now their sister with dementia.
With the recent break through in the race to end Alzheimer's and other memory loss diseases maybe one of our grand children will be the first to raise the "white forget me not" symbolizing a cure for these devastating diseases!
