The Rehabilitation Center of Albuquerque embraces person-centered-care of all residents including a focus on our Purple Ribbon Residents who have Alzheimer's & Dementia related brain disorders, our programs of focus are as listed:

RCA Memory Support Care Programs

1. New Employee Orientation Dementia Training: Long-Term Care Dementia Training Act (Act), NMSA 1978, SECTION 24-17b-3 promotes the RCA in training staff on how to physically & mentally support residents & their families who suffer with Alzheimer's & Dementia related brain disorders.

2 Restoration Hygiene Support: We believe that all residents & an assisted focus on our Purple Ribbon Residents at the RCA should receive assisted grooming & hygiene support care planning person-centered-care. The RCA repurposed their barbershop/salon to support the hygiene of their residents. By utilizing the clinical skill scope of the CNA to further develop and leverage the quality of care  that the residents receive at the RCA.

3. Restorative Programming: We believe that all residents & an assisted focus on our Purple Ribbon Residents to support them in Restorative group & 1:1 range-of-motion exercises. By utilizing the clinical skill scope of the CNA to further develop and leverage the quality of care that the residents receive at the RCA.

4. Recreational Programming: We believe that all residents & an assisted focus on our Purple Ribbon Residents to support them in non-invasive programming: cognitive stimulations, emotional group supports, game-theory, pet therapy, gospel support, music therapy etc. to promote the quality of care that the residents receive at the RCA.

Currently, more than 6 million Americans are living with Alzheimer's and over 11 million family and friends provide their unpaid care. We need your help to end this devastating disease.

You can make an impact with a donation or even joining our team. Your kindness and generosity truly make a difference in the fight against Alzheimer's and all other related dementia's. If you attend the facility walk, you will have opportunities to support/donate to the Alzheimer's Association and the The Resident Council Fund at the Rehabilitation Center of Albuquerque,
