Alzheimer’s isn’t stopping and neither are we. By participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s®, I’m raising funds and awareness to advance the fight against this disease — funds that allow the Alzheimer’s Association® to provide 24/7 care and support while accelerating critical research.
Currently, more than 6 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
Many of you are aware of the toll this terrible disease has taken on my family. Beginning with her diagnosis in 2004, we watched my mother, Rhoda Nagler, slowly deteriorate until her passing in April 2013. This is a disease that affects, not only the patient, but has a profound and lasting impact on family and friends as well. It is believed that, as the population ages, everyone will, at some point, be touched in some way by this disease. This is why it is so important for me to take action. Families facing Alzheimer’s and all other dementia need us now more than ever — and with your help, we can be there for them.
Please make a donation or join my team by registering as a participant and start your own fundraising. Together, we can end Alzheimer’s disease.
