Walk is the largest event to raise funds and awareness for the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association®. It’s held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, and our team is excited to participate this year.

This team, Granny B's team, is in honor of our mother, Brenda Stiles.  I saw about 5 years ago that her memory was getting erratic.  Knowing that we had lost her mother to dementia, I feared the worst but could not convince her to get checked.  I believe she knew and feared the worst as well.  I kept her at home until October, 2022, when her disease had advanced to the point that I could know longer give her the 24-7 care that she needed.  The hardest thing my sister and I have experienced was having to file for legal guardianship and place mom in an Alzheimer's Facility.  We lost her last April after only a short time in the facilities.  We are glad that she is no longer suffering but miss her dearly.  Help us end this complex of diseases.
