Intelligence Lost
She looked like my Mom until the very end. Then unrecognizable and sorrow set in. The goodbye was a slow process through many years. And her struggle continued through our many tears. It's hard to see such intelligence lost. This disease comes at such a great cost. But now it's time to celebrate her spirit, and cherish her memory instead of fear it.
