I am extremely fortunate to not be directly impacted by Alzheimer's, but it is one of the things that scares me most in this world. Way too often a friend tells me about how his or her family is impacted by this terrible disease. I can't even fathom how difficult it must be not only for those who battle the disease themselves but also for those loved ones who fight tirelessly alongside.
That's why I choose to stand up and fight Alzheimer's while I still can. This will be my tenth year volunteering for the Walk, seven as a day-of volunteer in both San Francisco and Wilmington, and three as the head of logistics for the planning committee here in Wilmington.
I ask that you please join me in fighting Alzheimer's and help support this amazing cause. What we do today could make all the difference tomorrow...and every tomorrow after that. Thank you.
