Hello Friends!
I hope you all are doing well since we met on this site last year. I want to thank all my faithful donors for their support last year. Your support helps the Association's continuing pursuit to improve studies, medication development, patient care, caregiver education and many other important steps toward treatment and someday, a cure. There have been some exciting developments in early patient care this year which is directly related to our fundraising efforts...so thank YOU!
As most of you know, my dad, Bill Tierney (6/2012), his mom, Anne Hickey Tierney (2/1982) and my aunt Joanne Tierney Bleimeyer (2/27/2022) all died from Alzheimer's or a related dementia. As if I needed further motivation to continue this fight, here we are. I continue to volunteer and fund raise so that my children and you and your children can live in a world without Alzheimer's.
This year's walk in Willmington, NC, is Nov. 2. I hope you will continue to support my team this year. Click the "donate" button to make your donation. Any amount you can find in your budget is another step closer to our goal. If you live in southeastern NC, please consider joining our walk! It's a great way to feel the passion and excitement of the Alzheimer's community of volunteers.
The slogan which continues to inspire me is "The first survivor of Alzheimer's is out there." This gives me hope.
Please share this page with your friends and family. I hope you will again find this cause a worthy one and support my walk team.
Best regards and love,
Cathy
