I began working with the local Walk Committee when I attended an organizational meeting in 2016. I was there to gather some information for a newsletter that I send out to active and retired federal employees, but found that most of the people at the meeting had never participated in a Walk. I knew then that I'd found something in which I could make a difference, and that's what brought me into the annual Walk. Many of the people at the meeting had lost loved ones to Alzheimer's and they wanted to get the message out that there was help coming.....and that's why we Walk.....
