Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia aren't stopping and neither are we! Like so many others, my family has been significantly impacted by this cruel disease. My grandmother, Sandra Lyles, was an amazing person with an incredibly kind heart. Her quality of life and independence were taken from her as her disease progressed until her death in October 2022. It was extremely painful to helplessly watch her endure the many challenges associated with her diagnosis, which is why this important cause is so close to my heart.
By participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's, I'm raising funds and awareness to advance the fight against this disease - funds that allow the Alzheimer's Association to provide 24/7 care and support while accelerating critical research. This support is vital to families and caregivers of loved ones impacted by this terrible disease like mine.
