We, my family and I, started our journey as caretakers when my mother, Leony, was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2020.  Like other caretakers, we have had our ups and downs, yet we continue to move forward each day.  

Alzheimer's and other dementias are debilitating diseases.  It is heart wrenching to witness a loved one lose their identity and struggle to make sense of things that was once second nature.  There are medications to help slow the progression of the disease but I won't be satisfied until we find a CURE.
