My Story:
One year, I flew out to California with my daughter to see my grandmother and my sister Caren, her caregiver.
My sister picked us up at the airport and we headed to see our grams. Grams was very excited and let me give her a big hug, and said where have you been Rosemary (my mother's name who had been gone for many years) and looked at my daughter (Ashlee) and said hi Carmella (Carmella is my middle name), and then had me lean in closer and looking over at my sister Caren said that lady comes here every day but I don't know who she is. The tears in my sister's eyes were heartbreaking.
I don't want this for our future generations. We need to stand together in this fight.
