News and Announcements

Location and Parking
The Walk is at the Admiral Coontz Recreation Center at 301 Warren Barrett Dr. Hannibal, MO 63401.
Parking at the Rec Center is limited due to construction, so we ask that you take advantage of street parking and prepare accordingly.

Weather

Looks like it’s going to be a beautiful sunny day! Our pre-Walk festivities will be inside, but the actual Walk is outside, so please prepare accordingly.

Arrival

Registration and check-in starts at 8:00AM. Stop by our check-in station as you enter the venue to register you and your team members and drop off any donations. Want to save time? Register your team right now at alz.org/marktwainarea.

Activities

Feel free to browse the booths of our incredible sponsors and learn more about their services. We’ll also have yard games, water and snacks, photo opportunities, music, and more! Be sure to share any photos on the day of in our official Walk Facebook Group.

Pets

Pets are not allowed inside the building. However, they may accompany you outside on the Walk.

Opening Ceremony and Walk

Don’t forget to stop by our Promise Garden table and pick up the flower that represents your connection to Alzheimer’s. You’ll want to have these during our Opening Ceremony which begins at 9:00am. After the Ceremony, the Walk begins! We’ll have route signs leading you where to go and a map. There will be a 1 mile option and a 3 mile option. Both lead back to the Rec Center.
