In October 2019 my Mother passed away from Alzheimer's. She was only 78 years old. She and my Father had celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary the year before.
My mother had 5 brothers and 2 of them also passed away from Alzheimer's. I have several friends and other family members who have lost parents to Alzheimer's and/or dementia related illnesses. Over 7 million are living with this illness!
I want to be a part of the fight to end Alzheimer's so more families, including my own, will not have to go through the loss of a loved one to this illness.
They are making great strides in treatments but they need more funding. That's where you and I and others can help! Every dollar raised from this Walk can be beneficial in research funding to slow the process and eventually with God's mercy, find a potential cure for this disease.
Vivian's Vikings are going to fight for a cure! I hope you will help us win this battle!
