I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. I am walking to honor my Dad. And, to support the caregivers who have helped families and friends when those with memory loss are so isolated. They are true heroes. Alzheimer’s has no zip code. It’s doesn’t care about race, ethnicity, or socio economic status. We need to find a cure!
For the first time in over 20 years I have HOPE. While there are still challenges, the FDA and the CMS have approve Leqembi, a drug that helps slow the course of the awful disease. And by the end of the year, we hope another drug is approved. These drugs give those suffering more time. My Dad’s journey may have been different. I have hope that family journeys will improve. And I have hope we are even closer to a cure.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
Thank you for joining the fight against Alzheimer's!
