We're doing it again!  The Walk to End Alzheimer's will be held at Target Field again this year.   Our entire family/extended family members (and hopefully a few friends) will walk together in the Twin Cities walk on September 21st, 2024 in honor/memory of our dad/grandpa/great grandpa (Leonard) who died of Alzheimer's and Lewy Body Dementia in 2014.  We are in this fight together and are passionate about doing what we can to END ALZHEIMER'S!   Hard to believe, but this will be the 6th year we will be walking without our mom, who died in March 2019.  She was so passionate about ending Alzheimer's, helping others who live with it and changing the stigma of the disease.  She loved this walk....even at the age of 94!!  We will once again represent her as we walk.  She SO enjoyed these Alzheimer's walks we've done for the past few years; it has become a very special tradition for our family.   There will be nearly 40 of our family walking together….!!  Any of you that have seen anyone struggle through this disease know what a devastating disease it is. We need to find a cure and find ways to help other families who have a family member living with dementia.  We're all in this together!!

Our family received incredible support, advice and care through the Alzheimer's Association during Leonard's journey with this disease. We want other families to receive the same help and support.

We are fundraising again this year. The Alzheimer's Association needs your support this year more than ever to continue delivering the vital services they offer. Let's try to do all we can to fight this disease that is affecting so many more people each year...and many are diagnosed early...even in their 50's!

After or dad/grandpa/great grandpa died, our family created a non-profil to give back to our communties that our businesses have served. We focus on Healthcare (dementia being one), faith, family values, and education. This is the ASTRUP FAMILY FOUNDATION, a non-profit 501(c)(3) oraganization. We plan for the foundation to go on in to perpetuity.
