My Mom, her Mom, and five of her siblings passed away from Alzheimer's in the Nelson family. Currently, the last surviving sibling is in a Memory Care facility in Grand Forks, ND. We are walking along with other family members to raise awareness along with fundraising to find a cure for this horrible disease. In 2023 we celebrated the 100th anniversary of the Nelson homestead in Arnegard, ND. Therefore, we are gathering in Arnegard on June 28th-29th, 2024 and creating our own walk.  Our fundraising is going to the Grand Forks, ND walk where our Aunt is living with the disease. Alzheimer's is a progressive disease that destroys memory and other important mental functions. This disease robbed my Grandma, Aunt, Uncle, Mom's memory of me, which was devastating! Please help us put an end to this disease so others don't have to experience this.
